Here's where it all began, if you don't count pregnancy....ha ha. After 6 1/2 hours of labor Alonzo Lawrence Dziengel was born on April 1, 2007. He weighed 6 pounds 15 oz. and was 18 inches long. Labor happened so quickly we barely made it to the hospital. When we got there the only thing on my mind was the epidural but when the nurses checked I was fully dilated and told me "Sorry Honey, by the time the epidural takes effect this baby will already be born." So we did the whole thing au natural, not by choice, but in the end it wasn't so bad (or did those childbirth hormones cloud my memory...?).The prize on the other end of childbirth makes you immediately forget everything else! And what a prize we got!
